How to annoy your fellow commuters (Part 1)

There is a simple way to wind up your fellow commuters on the train, which I have used with success a number of times. I reserve it only for the most annoying and aggravating offenders, as it is quite a powerful technique, yet very simple.

Firstly, find your target, who will most likely be on the phone, or playing loud music. Just look for whoever is the most annoying in the carriage. Once you have found them, position yourself where they can clearly see you – the following will not work.

Finally, once you are in a position that will make your annoyance plain to them (you can frown really hard if you like, or stick your tongue out), simply fold your arms, put one hand into a pointing shape, make sure they can see it, and point directly at them.

This is almost guaranteed to make people:
a) wonder what you are up to
b) paranoid that you might have noticed something they haven’t
c) become embarrassed

or any combination of the above.

Let me know your thoughts on how to make the daily commute more amusing, pleasurable or just plain crazy.

Edit: Part 2 now available.
