Since adding RSS feeds (and logging) to my blog, I have noticed that the googlebot tends to visit my page a lot more than it used to. It seems that Google likes to crawl pages with RSS links in. I guess thats because its easy for them to get a bunch of links from an RSS feed than to scan a page to determine if anything has changed.
It also seems that due to blogshares I have a larger number of incoming links from various sites. If anyone wants to link to this site, or individual pages within it, I have no objections. What I do object to is referer spamming. This will not work on this site, as I don’t publish referer information on any search engine visible part of the site. So just don’t do it. You know who you are.
